The Pleasures Of Owning A Business

To start a business is like having a child. At first you're excited about the prospect of how you're going to take life at it's reins, master your own course and be wealthy beyond your wildest expectations. You're usually not alone, you probably have partners or a team/crew that sees the vision of your idea, a substantial amount of cash (Not a lot, probably cashed out a Roth IRA), you probably have a business plan that if you stick with it will bring you the desired result because you and your team are going to work as hard you can to make that idea work, and as a result everything is going to work itself out right ? HELL NO expect for everything to go wrong, expect your associates to jump ship, you will end up hiring people that will use your company as a crutch for their own agendas while sabotaging it. Your clients will not pay you the minimum to keep their services going, but in the same breath will jump on a plane to go party in Miami with your favorite Rappers(my Favorites will run circles around yours but that's another story). God forbid if you're a minority business owner(moi),you probably have a family member or a significant other telling you constantly that your business is not a real business because its inner dealings are not grasped with ease, or they just don't freaking get it. Expect to invest long hours on a project, and expect not to get paid within the set date (Sometimes months later). You will need to make quick and critical decisions on any fundamental changes that affect the direction of your business, and have plan B in place in the event that might not work so you just have to constantly change your plan of action to ensure the proper flow of your thriving enterprise.
